Seems like this is a little more reasonable of a discussion as there are pros and cons to both sides. Could see it going either way. The best forward of the 90's vs the best forward of the 00's and onward.
Some obvious arguments in favor of Malone that many people tend to believe (I don't believe they mean Malone is better and I don't think many of them are even valid but they are arguments people make all the time, so I'll save everyone the time and just list them)
Pro-Malone...
-He played in an era with way better players. Just tons of superstars in the league then, especially the Western conference.
-He played in the superior conference for most of his prime as the West was better than the East even in the 90's. LeBron much weaker conference for the entirety of his career.
-He played in a time period with tougher rules that made scoring more difficult.
-He didn't win any championships, but he lost 2 finals to Jordan. What if LeBron played back then? He would be ringless loser as Jordan would've just beat him too. Perhaps not even needing heroic buzzer beaters to do so.
-He played for 1 team his entire career, didn't have to run from team to team to find the most advantageous situation.
Pro-LeBron arguments
I'll let others make that case, don't wanna initiate all discussion in the thread.
